Sam Passanisi

President – Neal San Diego

Sam has served in multiple capacities for the last 16years with Neal Electric, including Senior Project Manager, Business Development Manager, and Vice-President of Service and Special Projects.

Sam brings over three decades of experience. In his previous role as Vice-President of Service and Special Projects, he spearheaded the servicing of public and private sector projects, handled complex contract negotiations, and Design-Build delivery. Sam has developed a hands-on approach and will usually be at job sites rolling up his sleeves besides his team members. He strives for excellence, quality, and above all, job safety. Mr. Passanisi stated, “I am committed to the Meruelo Family, Neal Electric, and the team I am fortunate to lead. Their safety and well-being will always be my priority, while delivering quality workmanship.”

Elizabeth Martinez

Director, Government Relations/Business Development

Elizabeth Martinez is the Director of Government Relations & Business Development for Meruelo Enterprises Inc, and partners with Supplier Diversity Departments in the Utility Industry. She has over 20 years’ experience in Government Relations and Business Development and has managed portfolios worth $25 million. Elizabeth knows what truly drives results and how to build long-lasting business relationships.  Elizabeth is an expert on local and state policies that impact the Utility industry and successfully navigates the legislator on these polices.

Before joining Meruelo Enterprises Elizabeth was in the Waste Industry for over 20 years her experience extends from overseeing municipal contracts, school district and major commercial accounts. Elizabeth is a five-time prestigious Republic Services Chairman Awards winner.

Human Resources Manager

Ally Szerlip serves as the Human Resources Manager and Business Partner for Neal Electric. She brings more than 7 years of experience in Human Resources Management. Prior to Neal, Ally has supported multiple construction businesses over multiple states. Her background includes a MBA, as well as previous work in the Public Sector.
