Neurocrine Biosciences | Del Mar, California

The first two buildings of the two-phase, three building project for Neurocrine Biosciences in the San Diego Corporate Center in Del Mar Heights was completed in September of 2004. The first building is approximately 78,000 square feet and three stories high, which accommodates primarily office and conference centers to support the Research and Development group. Attached to this is a 7,000 square foot cafeteria with a full kitchen, eatery and snack bar areas. The building is constructed over one level of underground parking. Upon completion of the first building, construction of the second building began. This three-story structure is 128,722 square foot lab building with two levels of underground parking. The building houses approximately 240 laboratories offices, and additional research and development facilities. The site consists of 600,000 square feet of fully lit parking lots, an exterior amphitheater, water feature, and winding lit paths between the buildings. The overall theme of the project was to encompass a Research and Development facility into the look of a craftsman style hunting lodge or country club with the interior being of a very industrial nature.

Abbott Vascular consists of (2) 5 story buildings totaling approximately 190,000 sq. ft. of lab and office space connected by a 5 story lobby of approximately 20,000 sq. ft. and a 12,000 sq. ft. central plant. The underground duct bank which surrounds the campus is capable of supporting a 3rd 5 story building. There are a total of 20 electrical rooms and 20 tel/data rooms to support power and communication systems. There is extensive in ground and above ground landscape lighting in front of the lobby and in the center courtyard.
La Jolla Institute of Allergy & Immunology | La Jolla, California

The La Jolla Institute of Allergy & Immunology is a 180,000 square foot steel metal frame building that is located in the UCSD Science Research Park and consists of three stories of office, lab, and research space over one level of subterranean parking. Features include a two level cantilevered lobby stair, loading docks, and a screened rooftop mechanical area.
